Here we cover the basics of creating a character. The mechanics are quite simple, but we do enforce some rules.
1. START A THREAD IN THE NEW MEMBERS SECTION. Title it your character's name. Include all information possible. You will not be able to edit your character profile without moderator approval, this way we can avoid god-modding.
2. In accordance with rule 1, don't god-mod. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's using powers your character does not have, or amping up your character's powers to a level higher than they are supposed to be.
3. We do not permit characters of demi-god power levels or higher. We feel these characters make it difficult for other characters to participate and be challenged.
4. Characters must be approved before they can be played.

That's all the rules. Now for the profile. In order to have a proper character profile, you will need the following information.
Name: your character's name. Nicknames may be included.
Age: your character's physical age. If they appear older or younger, list this as well.
Race: Your character's race or species. If the race is not well known, the Racial Description section must also be completed. (There are currently no racial restrictions so long as no other rules are broken.)
Racial Description(optional): For rare or special species, a proper description of the race will be needed. This can also be completed for common species, but it is optional.
Class (optional): Your character's profession/class may be listed here.
Power Level: This denotes on what tier of strength the character is. The scale goes as follows 1.Critter(mouse)- 2.Weak(dog)- 3.Natural Human- 4.Enhanced Human(wizard or expert swordsman)- 5.Super Human(archmage/master assassin)- 6.Titan (Dragons)- 7.Demigod/Immortals (Super Man)- 8.Gods(Duh) If you do not know what level your character is on, the standard character power level is super human. Feel free to ask if you have trouble.
Native Land (optional): Some characters are not from Ecliptico at all, and are transported here through random acts of magic. This is why the races of Ecliptico are so diverse. If your character is not native to this world, it is often a good idea to explain where they were from originally and how they got here.
Physical Description: Your character's looks. This includes height, eye color, typical clothing, hair style/color, skin tone and so on.
Special Abilities: These are the traits that define your character's super-human capabilities. Details must be included, and preferably a limit or example of the ability strength should be listed as well.
Skills: These are your characters more mundane skills. Proficiency with weapons, cooking, ability to ride horses are some examples. If these traits are extraordinary... like a master swordsman or the ability to speak to horses... list them in the Special Abilities section instead.
Personality (optional): a short personality description is encouraged, but not required. How your character generally acts, quirks, and other tidbits may be included.
Bio/History (optional): Here you may include the back story for your character if you wish to do so.
Gear: Here is where you list what your character is carrying at the time he or she is created. Gear will, of course, change over time... so if you gain additional items you are allowed to add them in later. If you are carrying something not listed in your gear, please make a note in your entry post into any roleplay thread.
Goals: What your character wishes to accomplish in the long-term.
Below will be a sample profile to show you one way of creating a character.
