Here are the rules of the forum thus far. The rules are likely to stay the same, though some may be added over time. Check back every so often to make sure there are no additions.
1. Be respectful to other players. Simply put, we do not tolerate anyone who cannot get along with our members. If any dispute occurs contact an admin.
2. Read rule number one.
3. Be able to take helpful criticism. A lot of us here will be veteran players. Don't get offended if someone offers you tips. On the same note, for those of you trying to be helpful, don't push it. If you offer to help and they decline, that's their choice.
4. Recognize the difference between IC (in character) and OOC (out of character) actions. While your character and another person's may not get along, that does not give either of you an excuse to be rude OOC.
5. Respect minimum post lengths. All posts not meeting the required length, specified by the original post in each thread, will be deleted. Repeated offenses will get temporary bans. Nobody likes posting a page of text only to be replied to by 3 lines.
6. Stick to the original poster's limits to character power levels. (See character creation.)
7. Attempt to keep OOC chatter to a minimum in the roleplaying threads. OOC should be separated from IC actions by [brackets] or some other indicator.
9. Each player is allowed a maximum of three characters at any given time. If you decide to retire a character, you may create a new one to take their place, but never more than three simultaneously.
10. Only one character, per player, per thread. The thread's creator may use NPCs, provided they do not dominate the game play.
11. Common sense roleplay rules apply. No double-posting, no god modding, no twinks, etc.
12. Attempt proper spelling and grammar. We are not grammar nazis, but if your posts are illegible we will likely ask you to fix or delete them. People need to be able to read what's happening, after all. (If you have bad spelling, firefox has a built-in spell check.)
13. We do ask everyone be over the age of 16, due to mature themes and intensely graphic violence that's bound to occur.
